This is my POV as an owner and regular driver of a 2015 Axia Manual (G spec). It's a love hate relationship. I absolutely Adore my car. It's super basic, has no ABS, no EBD, plastics everywhere, very light construction, but very reliable. With good absorbers, extra sound proofing, better tyres, regular service---my car took me all the way to Bangkok and back in one piece. I will repeat - this car is not for everyone, but this is a keeper for me. It will need a rear anti roll bar and additional bracing to be more stable at higher speed and when being overtaken by larger vehicles. Just my 2.5 sen worth of thoughts on an Axia.😊

You're right Chris. When I'm driving my favourite cars to drive which is the F10 and E60, I will drive 10km just to have breakfast and then sit outside of the coffeeshop and stare at the car just to appreciate its beauty.

A used e46 or equivalent conti would probably be cheaper to buy than this axia. But the maintenance remains..a conti. For someone who needs a cheap form of transport I guess the axia is as good as it gets. Like what u said, u get what u paid 😬😬😬

Yeah, the infernal hard plastics and the floaty nature of the car. It is definitely safer in traffic jams than the highway. It's the Windows RT and Intel Celeron of cars...

driven this and the engine seems to plateau when it reaches 100km/h. above that you'll need to step hard on the accelerator to get it to go beyond that. it's definitely not stable at high speed. those who drive this car above 130km/h got balls of steel.

Well that touchscreen probably aftermarket install by car rental company because standard spec only have normal radio and usb without Bluetooth connection. I agree one touch power windows because it so convenient especially after you pay the toll. But hey at least they give power window. I remember used to rent Proton Saga many years ago for a few day and guess what Saga doesn't even have auto down driver side window let alone auto up. Quite weird because I thought the power window broke and on the day i returned the car i did ask them about car power window. They said its normal. All Saga are like that if you want to operate driver side window.😅

Axia, the very best car to run around town. back to old days i had the round lamp kancil 850. manual. so nice to drive around town

why i bought a kia picanto back in 2019 over any perodua, short seat my thigh not on the seat its not comfy..suspension is bone breaking. interior is just am i back in the 80's and the driving experience is just well you have to be a person not like not care about cars to enjoy driving one saga is better in terms of many things..maybe not in fuel consumption but drives better feel better in my brief time driving one

1:05 - the Axia E spec is not sold exclusive to driving school. It's for anyone who want the cheapest Axia with nothing inside, doesn't mind the old design and a manual. I'm driving one - goes all the way to JB, Terengganu and even Genting, no issues

Actually the Axia G also came in manual, that is 1 tier above the "driving school" spec that u mentioned. Everything is the same as the u got there except it's manual. The manual version of axia G stopped somewhere is 2017 if not mistaken. Sorry if I was wrong. But anyway, I own the G manual version. Manual rocks man! 😊

The manual version is pretty horrid in my opinion - sloppy throws, steering column that gets in the way of the clutch pedal (i have big foot), rev hang

8 years ago, Saw an axia skided hit a divider and flung mid air near parliment building heading to sentral, landed on the grass turned turtle. Though road was wet, it wasn't going fast. Scary moment.

Axia is great, espcially when u wanna buy roadside durian, seller will sell u durian cheaper, if i brought my other car, defininetly potong leher harga, plus i dont have to care much about durian smell inside the car 😂

Haha. My exact opinion shared when one of my relatives initially hunting for a used cash buy 1st gen Vios or 1.6 Altis then 'mind bogglingly' ended up buying new G Axia (it was d pre-facelift then). Still speechless till today

That system is aftermarket the standard one is just a regular radio with usb Also the armrest, spoiler etc are all also aftermarket and not stock

One touch up power windows would need the anti-pinch sensors, whereas the one touch down is free 😂

I love this car...Dad owns all sorts of cars.. Jags,beemers,merc's u name it..but it always gives me joy driving this little thing...I did upgrade the suspension and tires not to forget autofoamed it..owned this car for 8 years now...absolutely reliable and never once gave me a headache..also a lifesaver for my dad if any of his cars goes to the workshop hahaha...
